WHAT YOU DO DAILY DETERMINES EVERYTHING
Your habits aren't just routines, they're the blueprint of your future
There’s a question I want you to sit with today: What do you actually do daily?
Not what you intend to do. Not what you tell yourself you’ll start doing Monday. What do you actually do, every single day, without fail?
Because here’s the truth: what you do daily is a direct reflection of your habits, your routine, your system, your method, your organization. And what you don’t do daily? That’s an equally direct reflection of your disorganization, your overwhelm, and whatever keeps you locked in a state of fight or flight.
I’ve been coaching for over 28 years and worked with more than 12,000 clients. And I can tell you with absolute certainty, your daily discipline is either building your life or slowly dismantling it. There is no neutral.
The Pain Point: You’re Winging It, and It’s Costing You
Most of the planet wakes up without a set time. They hit snooze. They scramble. They try to pull it off at the last minute. And then the ego steps in and whispers, “I perform my best when my back’s against the wall.”
That is denial.
You perform your best in a relaxed body. You perform your best in higher consciousness. The scrambled brain, the one running on adrenaline and cortisol, the one living in overwhelmed chaotic energy, is not your high-performance self. That’s your survival self. And you cannot build a six or seven-figure life from survival mode.
The solution: Break your day into four-hour segments. 8 to 12. 12 to 4. 4 to 8. Sit with each block and ask yourself honestly, what am I actually doing in that time? Do you exercise at a set time, or when you get around to it? Do you eat sitting down, or on the run? This simple evaluation will reveal, often painfully, how undisciplined you actually are. And that awareness is where transformation begins.
The Pain Point: Your Ego Is Addicted to Chaos
Here’s something David Hawkins taught, and it’s backed by neuroscience. Only 22% of the population lives in a consciousness above 200 cycles per second. The other 78% are living in unconscious states of anxiety, fear, and doubt. The ego doesn’t just tolerate chaos, it thrives on it. If you grew up in a chaotic household, as an adult child of an alcoholic or narcissist, your neurological network was literally wired to recreate that chaos. Neurons that wire together fire together.
This is why you can’t meditate. This is why the moment you sit still, your brain screams, “This isn’t exciting enough. I need to be doing something else.” That restlessness isn’t ambition. It’s your lower self keeping you small.
The solution: Begin the practice of letting go. When you feel that anxious pull toward chaos, interrupt it with a breath. Observe the feeling. Don’t deny it, don’t feed it, observe it. Bring yourself back into your body. Focus on the solution, not the problem. The skill of letting go is not passive. It’s one of the most disciplined things you will ever learn to do. As you release the grip of chaos, your vibrational energy rises, and you begin to attract people and opportunities that match that higher frequency.
The Pain Point: You’re Fueling the Wrong Fire
What you put into your body, what you watch, what you listen to, these are not lifestyle choices. They are inputs that directly determine the quality of your output. If you’re consuming sugar-laden energy drinks, scrolling through fear-based social media, and smoking or vaping to “take the edge off,” you are chemically reinforcing the undisciplined brain. A Rockstar or Red Bull contains 50-plus grams of sugar. Your ego is craving instant gratification, and you’re feeding it, and wondering why you can’t focus, can’t close, can’t build momentum.
The solution: Approach your body holistically. Begin eliminating processed sugar. Explore detoxing practices, steam, sauna, foot baths that help pull heavy metals from the body. Watch and listen to content that elevates your consciousness rather than inflaming it. As your body begins to heal, your emotional energy rises, your clarity sharpens, and your ability to discern, which is essential to making money in free enterprise, becomes razor-sharp. You begin to attract quality clients, teammates, and collaborators who match your elevated frequency.
The Pain Point: Your Words Are Betraying You
Word is law. Most of the planet fills every sentence with “kind of,” “I guess,” and “I don’t know.” These aren’t verbal tics. They are unconscious declarations of doubt, spoken into existence hundreds of times a day. I’ve coached clients who say “I don’t know” so frequently it becomes one syllable, “idunno”, and they don’t even hear it anymore.
Your words are the architecture of your reality.
The solution: Begin listening to how you speak. The discipline of your word is the discipline of your mind. When you clean up your language, when you speak with clarity, conviction, and intentionality, you’re not just communicating better. You’re rewiring the connection between your left brain and your gut. Your gut is your second brain. The vagus nerve connects them. When your chakras are in alignment and your communication reflects that alignment, people feel it. That’s charisma. That’s posture. And that unconscious magnetism is what makes people want to buy from you, join you, follow you.
The Pain Point: You’ve Misidentified Who You Are
There are four archetypes I’ve identified in my work that will keep you locked in undiscipline if you don’t recognize yourself in them:
The Rebellious Rebeller who resists all structure and calls it freedom.
The Codependent who puts everyone else first and then tries to pull it off at the last minute.
The Big Deal Chaser who’s always hunting the next shiny opportunity, the next crypto play, the next real estate course, and never builds anything.
The Poverty Addict who unconsciously avoids money and stays buried in debt.
The solution: Recognition is the first step. Pick up a copy of The Procrastination Cure and get honest about which of these patterns is running your life. Awareness alone begins to break the neurological pattern. Then commit to a mentor, a system, and a community that holds a higher standard than your ego is comfortable with. The discipline of Josh Waxman, one of the most disciplined clients I’ve coached in my career, didn’t appear overnight. It was cultivated over years, in community, under accountability.
The Bottom Line
Discipline is not rigid. Discipline is not boring. Discipline is a system, a routine to live your life with intention rather than reaction.
The wealthiest people I know are among the most disciplined. Not because they’re machines, but because they understand that success is not shiny. Success is methodical. The shiny comes later, as a byproduct of the daily work.
It’s inch by inch, it’s a cinch. Yard by yard, it’s hard.
What do you do daily? Start there. The answer will tell you everything.
