Mastering Attraction: Why the People in Your Life Are Not an Accident
"Attraction is not a marketing tactic. It is a state of being."
I want to tell you something that most business gurus won’t say out loud: your network is not a strategy. It’s a spiritual ledger.
Every person in your life right now, every client, every teammate, every collaborator, arrived through a chain of connections that traces back further than you think. I call it the thread of attraction. And in 2026, when everyone is chasing algorithms, AI funnels, and viral content, most entrepreneurs are completely ignoring the one skill that has always separated the top 1/20th of 1% from everyone else.
That skill is mastering attraction.
Six Degrees That Built an Empire
Let me show you how this actually works in real life.
In March of 2014, a young man named Josh Waxman hired me to be his coach in Newark, Delaware. He was under 22 years old. That single decision, his decision to invest in himself, set off a chain reaction that I’m still living inside of today.
Through Josh, I connected with Wayne Clark, who found me through a mutual contact named Alain Amir. Wayne and I have an eleven-year history now. He hired me in 2020, rehired me again this year, and is currently having quantum leaps in his business.
But here’s the thread that most people miss. Wayne and Josh’s connection to me traces all the way back to a woman named Alexis Romano, who was making $1,000 a month when I started coaching her in June of 2011. By 2014, she was making seven figures in a calendar year. In her database was a mortgage broker. His daughter hired me to be her coach. That daughter invited Josh to an event. And so it goes.
This is six degrees of separation, not as a cocktail party concept, but as a living architecture of your business.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for 38 years. I’ve owned Golden Mastermind Seminars Incorporated, a California S corporation, for 28 years. That corporation has produced seven figures 24 different times. Every single dollar traces back to a thread. Every client connects to another client. It is never an accident.
The 2026 Attention Economy Has It Backwards
Right now, everyone is talking about hyper-personalization, AI-driven marketing, and building a personal brand on social media. And those things matter. But they are outputs of attraction, not the source of it.
One in three U.S. adults, 33%, plan to start a new business or side hustle in 2026, a 94% jump from last year. The hunger is real. But many are held back by financial fears, funding gaps, and low confidence.
I’ll tell you what they’re really held back by: brain fog, unresolved trauma, and a poverty consciousness they’ve never been taught to identify.
You can have the best funnel in the world. If you’re carrying anxiety, resentment, and unprocessed emotional debt, you will repel the exact people you’re trying to attract. You’ll magnetize situations that recreate your pain instead of your potential.
Attraction is not a marketing tactic. It is a state of being.
What Opens the Portal
At 31 years old, I was experiencing delirium tremens, convulsing from acute alcoholism. I weighed 114 pounds. I had yellow skin. I had been to prison as a drug dealer. I had lived on couches and out of a duffel bag. I had a scar on my arm that is still there today as a souvenir of how close I came to never writing these words.
On December 17th, 1988, I entered a clinic in Siri, California. That was the last day I drank.
I tell you this not for sympathy. I tell you this because if I can come back from the abyss and build a seven-figure enterprise, the only thing standing between you and your version of that is the story you’re still carrying.
When you let go, truly let go, you create a vacuum. And nature abhors a vacuum. The universe rushes in to fill the space you’ve cleared. That’s not metaphor. That’s how this works.
The pineal gland, your ocular gland, is the gateway to what quantum physicists call the field. Inside that field are resources, connections, ideas, and people that your conscious mind cannot engineer its way to. Any mood-altering substance, any unresolved trauma, any sustained victim mentality closes that gate.
Sobriety. Consciousness. Integrity. These are not soft skills. They are the competitive advantages that no AI can replicate.
How to Become a Franchise Client Magnet
In free enterprise, you’re looking for what I call franchise clients, people who hand you the keys to their kingdom. They open their database to you. They refer you into rooms you couldn’t buy your way into. And it is a complete win-win, provided neither party sabotages the relationship.
I once coached a woman named Susan Sly, introduced to me by a woman named Deborah Kay who found my Tuesday night conference calls in 1999. Susan became one of the most significant people in the entire history of my career. She opened doors to a billion-dollar network marketing company. All of that traces back to one phone call, one degree of separation.
Right now I’m watching a client go through a quantum leap because I introduced one person to her business. That one introduction took her to multiple six figures. She’s referred me back dozens of clients. That’s the ecosystem. That’s the game.
To build it, you need:
Attorneys who understand your business structure
Accountants who protect your assets, not expose them
Lead vendors who feed your pipeline
Coaches who have already been where you’re going
Referral partners who are in alignment with your values
This is not a solo journey. It never was.
The Real Work of 2026
I recently helped a client lift a $44,000 lien off her home so she could sell it free and clear instead of losing it to a sheriff sale. I did it for free. I made calls to bankers and attorneys. I navigated it. I did it because that’s what you do when you understand that free enterprise is built on goodwill, not transactions.
A promise made is a debt on pay. When I told a man in my neighborhood, someone I hadn’t seen in years, who had a week of sobriety, that I’d take him to dinner, that promise became a sacred obligation. I will keep it.
That same day, after that conversation, two people hired me. Not out of the blue. There is no “out of the blue.” It came from attraction. It came from consciousness. The universe does not give you what you want. The universe gives you who you are.
Purpose-driven enterprises attract talent aligned with their mission and benefit from deeper loyalty among customers and partners. That’s not a trend. That’s ancient law dressed in modern language.
Your Altar Call
If you’re reading this and you’re stuck, in debt, in a bad relationship, in a job that’s killing your soul, I want you to hear me clearly:
The solution is not more hustle. The solution is not another course.
The solution is to let go of what is not yours to carry, step into the version of yourself that already knows the answer, and attract your reality rather than manufacturing it.
If you’re in debt: understand velocity banking and infinite banking. There are tools and vehicles that create wealth. Use them.
If you’re in a dead relationship: end it. Staying in misalignment is the most expensive thing you’ll ever do.
If you’re procrastinating: produce. The duality of fear and action cannot occupy the same moment.
You learn from two sources: your mentors and your mistakes. My good friend Pat Mesiti, one of the top inspirational speakers in the world, gave me that. I bought one book from him. He bought a thousand of mine. That is what attraction in free enterprise looks like.
You are a black sheep. You are a sovereign. You are chosen. And in 2026, a year when every successful business is being told to become AI-first, the most powerful thing you can be is human-first, conscious, sober, grounded, and magnetically, irresistibly yourself.
Breathe. Release. Let go.
