Letting Go In a Relaxed Body!
A rigid body reacts. A relaxed body creates.
How I Learned to Produce Results in a Relaxed Body
Good afternoon—my name is Jeffrey Combs, and I’m the president and founder of Golden Mastermind Seminars Incorporated.
I’ve said that introduction thousands of times over the past 28 years. And every time I say it, I’m reminded of where it all started.
The name “Golden Mastermind” came from a simple idea:
the golden rule and the power of a mastermind, a group of like-minded individuals coming together for a common purpose.
That idea became a company in 1998. And ever since, my mission has been clear:
To help people produce results in a relaxed body.
What a Relaxed Body Really Means
“Relaxed body” is a term I coined years ago, and it became a core part of my philosophy.
When I say breathe, release, and let go in a relaxed body, I’m talking about a state of being where your body is no longer rigid, tense, or stuck in survival mode.
Because here’s what I’ve learned:
A rigid body is a body in fight or flight.
And when you’re in fight or flight, everything changes.
You become reactive instead of responsive.
You feel overwhelmed instead of focused.
You procrastinate, avoid, and delay instead of executing.
The Cycle Most People Live In
Most people live in a constant loop of stress.
They worry about the future.
They regret the past.
And they struggle to stay present.
This creates patterns:
Being late
Feeling behind
Living in disorganization
Rebelling against structure and routine
It becomes a lifestyle of chaos.
And the longer someone lives in that state, the more familiar it feels.
Why We Stay Stuck
There’s a reason people repeat the same patterns over and over.
It’s not just habit, it’s biology.
Your brain, specifically your internal filtering system, looks for what’s familiar. If you’re used to stress, anxiety, or overwhelm, your system will keep guiding you back to those feelings.
That’s why people:
Procrastinate
Avoid decisions
Stay stuck in “getting ready to get ready”
They’re not broken; they’re conditioned.
The Shift: From Reaction to Response
Everything changed for me when I understood this:
I had to stop reacting, and start responding.
That meant learning how to separate my feelings from the events that created them.
Instead of being controlled by emotions like fear, anger, or doubt, I learned to observe them, breathe into them, and release them.
When I do that, I move out of fight-or-flight and into presence.
And from that place, I can actually create solutions.
The Power of Breathing
One of the simplest tools I use is breathing.
Most people don’t realize how shallow their breathing is throughout the day. They’re constantly tense, holding stress in their body without even knowing it.
When I practice intentional breathing, slowing it down, holding it, releasing it, I change my physiology.
I reconnect my mind and body.
And I move from rigidity… to flexibility.
Facing the Truth
Real transformation didn’t happen for me until I was willing to face the truth.
That meant:
Letting go of denial
Being rigorously honest with myself
Looking directly at the areas of my life where I was stuck
Why was I avoiding certain responsibilities?
Why was I holding onto patterns that didn’t serve me?
Why was I sabotaging my own success?
Those aren’t easy questions, but they’re necessary.
Letting Go of the Past
Many people carry trauma; emotional, physical, or generational.
And whether they realize it or not, that trauma shapes their behavior.
It creates stories like:
“I’m not good enough”
“This is too hard”
“I might fail”
Those stories keep people in their comfort zone.
But here’s the truth:
Your comfort zone is often your failure zone.
As long as you stay there, nothing changes.
Creating a New State of Being
When I began to let go, truly let go, everything shifted.
I stopped identifying with my past.
I stopped reacting to every emotion.
I stopped living in fear of the future.
Instead, I started living in the present.
And from that place, I could finally create.
Producing Results from Flow
A relaxed body allows for flow.
When you’re in flow:
You think clearly
You act decisively
You follow through
You’re no longer stuck on the sidelines, wondering if you can succeed.
You’re in the game.
You’ve left the shore, and you’re out in the water, actively participating in your life.
My Ongoing Practice
This isn’t something I mastered overnight.
It’s a daily practice.
Every day, I remind myself:
Breathe. Release. Let go.
Because when I do that, I return to a state where I can produce results, not from stress, but from alignment.
The Invitation
If you take anything from this, let it be this:
You don’t have to live in overwhelm.
You don’t have to stay stuck in old patterns.
You don’t have to keep reacting to life.
You can choose a different way.
You can choose to create results,
from a relaxed body.
